JOB VACANCY: Sales & Marketing – Douala

Cameroon Weekly is hiring and we are looking for new members to join our sales team. You will have to be dynamic, engaging and entrepreneurial.

The Role

You will be working on their consumer newspaper and television division department and be responsible for selling advertising to a mix of new customers and existing key accounts across a number of sectors. Sectors could include Food & Drink, Arts & Crafts, Leisure, Travel, Property, Retail, Entertainment and Motors. This is a structured sale where you will identify the business needs then create, design and present innovative advertising solutions tailored to the client to ensure results. This will involve negotiating and presenting bespoke print and digital advertising solutions to key decision makers primarily over the phone and some work face to face. Working to revenue targets and deadlines, you will be responsible for dealing with a range of customers from SME’s to corporate clients on a national basis.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate would have some experience of selling advertising from any sector (ie. newspaper, radio, directory, magazines, exhibitions etc).

With a strong interest in the lifestyle sector you will be looking to develop and grow your career with a market leading magazine. You will have a confident, professional and articulate manner necessary to deal with high-level prestigious clients from Blue Chips to SMEs. You will have a strong understanding of the media and marketing departments, coupled with drive, motivation and passion to develop new business in a competitive market. You will be able to demonstrate past success and a desire to be the best at what you do.
